Alpaca in Washoe Valley
These Alpaca live on some of the nicest real estate in northern Nevada (although the old barn may not look like much). The Alpaca is a domesticated species of South American camelid. It resembles a small llama in appearance.
This peacock, with several others, lives at the Safari Zoo, north of Reno on Hwy 395. The peafowl were probably the most contented species on the property.
